Wrightfield Pools provide dignified, independent access to swimming pools. We are able to design access solutions for any swimmer who finds using a pool ladder inappropriate. Our disabled access solutions transform the swimming experience for wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility.
The wheel chair access lift, powered by a safe, rechargeable battery, allowing approximately 20 cycles per charge. This, coupled with a robust mechanical design, ensures access to the pool is fast and reliable.
Ascent, descent and depth are user defined. Swimmers can choose to use the disabled wheelchair lift with the custom designed submersible wheelchair or alternatively can remain standing while they descend to a comfortable water depth.
Submersible Wheelchair
Built to the same exacting standards of the Pod lift, the submersible wheelchair allows a user to transfer from their own wheelchair to the submersible wheelchair in the privacy of the changing room.
Wheelchairs securely lock into the platform by way of Pods’s clever castor fork design accompanied by automatic closing of the platform’s door.
