A project at Broomfield Care Home in Chelmsford demonstrates this approach. The installation centred around a bespoke 4m x 3m stainless steel hydrotherapy pool, manufactured as a single-piece structure for rapid installation. Built on a fully welded 304 stainless steel support frame with a polished 316 stainless steel shell, the pool was factory tested, spray insulated and supplied complete with integrated drains, skimmers and connection points before arriving on site.
Equally important was the disabled access lift, designed and manufactured in-house to provide safe and dignified access for residents requiring assisted hydrotherapy. Rather than relying on off-the-shelf solutions, Wrightfield engineered a fully stainless steel hydraulic scissor lift featuring a durable embossed HDPE platform, removable handrails and a water hydraulic drive system that eliminates the risk of contaminating the pool water.
Designed to lift up to 250kg through a full metre of travel, the platform offers smooth, controlled movement while remaining discreetly integrated into the surrounding pool structure.
