Established in 1690, Haberdashers’ Boys’ School has evolved from a modest institution into one of the UK’s foremost independent schools. Project Scope
In line with its commitment to excellence, Haberdashers’ Boys’ School initiated a project to upgrade its swimming pool facility. The goal was to enhance the pool’s functionality and versatility, ensuring it could support various activities. This ambitious project involved installing a moveable pool floor and a submersible boom, following the specifications outlined in the Devin specification document M2.05/301/04.07.13.
General Scope of Supply
The detailed scope of supply for the project was comprehensive. The moveable pool floor included floor surface panels, grilles, gaskets, fixings, floor structure, buoyancy system, and the moving mechanism with hydraulics, cables, and fixings. Additionally, cable ducts were supplied.
Similarly, the submersible boom was equipped with boom surface panels, grilles, gaskets, fixings, a boom structure, a buoyancy system, a moving mechanism with hydraulics, cables, fixings, and cable ducts.
Additional Items
The project also encompassed samples and production control units, electrical installation, control/remote panel, design, drawings, manuals, client instruction, testing and commissioning, and maintenance for the first year. These elements ensured a high-quality installation and seamless operation from the outset.
Optional Additions
An optional uplift for panels to match the Swedecor “Pool Blue” RAL-2307015 was available to align the pool’s aesthetics with the school’s branding or preferred colour scheme.
