A moving pool floor is a great feature that can be retrofitted to an existing pool or built from scratch for a new facility. Modern inventions afford owners and users several very useful benefits, as we discuss in this post.
Benefits of Owning a Moving Pool Floor
A traditional pool offers plenty in the way of fun. Not much beats lounging by the pool during summer or taking a dip to cool down on a particularly hot day. As a form of effective and low impact exercise, few activities known to the human race that can beat swimming.
However, each of these examples has a common theme—namely, that to enjoy a pool, you have to be using it.
When the temperature drops as autumn closes in or when a lifeguard is off duty and the pool has to be closed, a swimming facility suddenly becomes a bit of a white elephant, requiring a lot of maintenance even when not in use and plenty of floor space.
A moving pool floor however, avoids this eventuality. When not in use, the extremely clever inventions can be put into action to raise the pool floor, thereby creating a surface that sits at the same level as the ground.
This surface can be used as any other surface, for instance, for patio seating or for exercise classes. What’s more, when fully raised, with the water secure in a tank below, the pools tend to collect less debris so maintenance costs can be significantly reduced. Water is also less likely to evaporate from a hidden pool when the floor is raised, so it requires topping up less regularly.
When in use, the moving pool floor also offers plenty of benefits. The depth of the pool can be changed, for instance if children are using the pool and a shallower depth is required. Deep and shallow ends can be changed too, providing plenty of flexibility to users.
